We purchased this vehicle from a bank as a repossession and it IS IN NEED OF TRANSFER CASE REPAIR. For reasons unbeknown to us the vehicle will start, run, and drive but has a growling noise coming from the transfer. The sound is significant enough that we would not recommend driving as to not cause further damage. We have not had the vehicle professionally diagnosed, therefore we are selling this vehicle to be in need of transfer case REPAIR or REPLACEMENT. The engine however high miles still sound good and runs smooth. The transmission does engage and pull the vehicle however do to the transfer case issue we have not driven it at highway speeds. Overall the truck does still look pretty good considering it's age and miles. It has minor and typical surface rust above the left rear wheel well the at has not broken through the paint and surface rust on both rear rocker panels that has cracked the paint. The interior is dirty and shows wear. The drivers seat needs leather repair and the interior needs a thorough cleaning. With all of this being said this is still a Sierra 1500 SLT 4x4 Z71 Crew Cab. This is one of the most sought after trucks on the road today. Similar truck like this usually cost a lot of money and are in high demand. If you have the mechanical ability or a friend that does this could make you an inexpensive Crew Cab 4X4 truck or a nice profit. CONDITION: EXTERIOR: Good looking truck however by no means a new truck. Cosmetic flaws include..... surface rust above left wheel well, surface rust on both rear rockers panels, cracked windshield, chrome on wheels pitted, stain in paint on right bedside (should buff out), and paint spilled in bed (may pressure was out however we have not tried). They maybe some other chips or scratches in the paint. How you see this truck is how we purchased it. We have spent no time on detail or clean up. How you see this truck is how we got it. It is going to take a little work but this truck has the potential to be quite an eye catcher. INTERIOR: Needs cleaned and detailed. The drivers seat shows wear. It appears that the previous owner was a painter because there are quite a few spots of paint on the seats (should mostly come off). The right front speaker cover is missing. Overall the interior will look good with some cleaning. DRIVE TRAIN: The engine starts and runs smooth and we have driven the truck at slow speeds. The transfer case make noise therefore we do no recommend driving the truck. Tires have about 50-60% tread. The truck needs some work but will make someone a good vehicle.
