Vehicle Detail

*************************NO RESERVE WITH LOW STARTING BID******************************* Very clean and mostly original Datsun 240Z car that was a daily driver for years before being given weekend duties around the first of this year. This car has the original numbers matching 2.4L engine that runs great with no smoke or unusual noises. Stock SU carbs and upgraded 280Z electronic distributor so no need to replace points. The Tach does work. Upgraded 280ZX close ratio transmission shifts nicely and makes this car a pleasure to drive on the highway. This car has been lowered at all four corners with lowering springs. The speedometer works, the Tach works, the oil pressure gauge works, the water temp gauge works, and the Amp gauge works. The headlights work, the brake lights work, the side marker lights work. No quick cheap paint job on this car to cover up rust or body damage. This is a good honest car with good bones for a driver or to restore and the inexpensive starting price reflects that. You can decide how far you want to go and how much money you want to spend on this car. It really is a car you can get in and drive as is while the prices keep going up. As you can see in the pictures, some of the body panels have been re-sprayed in the past so the exact silver color does not match however the doors and fenders are very straight and rust free which is what really counts. Again, the car has not had a cheap paint job applied to cover up flaws and rust. Pros: Original 2.4L numbers matching engineStock Round Top SU carbsUpgraded 280Z electronic distributor and the factory Tach still works!!!Upgraded 280ZX close ratio 5 speed transmissionProgressive Lowering springs at all four cornersHalf dash cap installedAftermarket stereo and speakers280ZX wheels1" Performance front sway bar11/71 Build Date Needs attention:Turn signals don't work except when they feel like they want to.Horn does not workClock does not workThe rust bubbles in the dog leg on the passenger side should be addressed I have over 100 photos of the car which i will provide a link to in the first question / answer section below. One video is a walk around, one video of the engine running, and one driving. To view the videos, go to YouTube and search "sac cyclone". You will find a video of my 240Z street / track car at Thunderhill race track, then click on "sac cyclone" to get to my other videos of the 1972 Datsun 240Z. In the question / answer section below i listed a link to my photo bucket with over 100 photos of this car. Just copy and paste the link into the address bar. Thanks.
