Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is my '47 Binder panel. It is a short wheelbase 1/2 ton truck. I've owned it for a few years now and have done a lot of work. It sat in a field for 30 years with a locked engine and rodent-trashed '70s interior and I brought it back to roadworthy condition, a great platform to restore. Completely rewired to 12V negative ground with 14ga wire, all new hydraulic brake parts and lines (drums were turned, shoes were ok), automatic electric cooling fan, rebuilt radiator, cleaned and coated fuel tank (no leaks), electric fuel pump, new exhaust, parking lights rebuilt to function as turn/park/hazard lights, original horn works, single modern bucket seat but there is an old bench included (unknown brand??), modern gauges, GM alternator, windshield and rear windows are acrylic plastic, have painted/powdercoated some parts. Glass is all flat panel so easy to have made up, I just didn't get there yet. A vintage aftermarket heater (6V) is installed but the shop I had re-doing the core "lost" it so the heater is not functional. The engine is a 214 Green Diamond flathead 6 that runs like a sewing machine. It is not the original engine, which was trashed, but this one is correct for the year. Oil has been changed and runs clean with very good pressure but there is no filter. Transmission is 3-on-the-tree that is finicky when cold, after driving around the block it limbers up and shifts well. Clutch works well, brakes work well. Extra parts and a lot of the trim pieces are included. This truck is not perfect. I put better fenders and some doors on, but it needs bodywork. The rear door frame has the typical split in the upper corners along the drip rail. Front door frames have some rust bulges by the hinges. Left rear quarter was hit many years ago down low and there's a cheap rivet repair to hide it. Some previous owner cut a few holes in the dash, but only on the flat part so it's easy to patch. Roof is all surface rust but the laundry company had a roof rack on it so there are some dents/screw holes where it mounted. Cargo floor is tile over plywood. The frame is solid. Thanks for looking. If you want to come look or have other questions, feel free to email me your phone number and I will call you back.On Feb-18-15 at 12:43:02 PST, seller added the following information: Up for bid is my '47 Binder panel. Apparently I can't post links...so if you would like to see a video of the truck driving around block on Feb 18, 2015, please go to YouTube and search for 1947 International Panel Truck Drive. It should come right up, possibly with another video of when I first got this engine started.
