1957 Mercedes 180D "Ponton" I've owned this car 5 years and have everything working back to stock condition except I replaced the original generator with an alternator. If you are looking at this vehicle you know what it is. The odometer only goes to 99,999 so I have no idea what the actual mileage is. There's about 70,000 on the odometer now.The car was originally imported into Toronto in 1956 and I purchased it from a German guy near Reno 5 years ago. He had it stored in a garage for about 15 years but it was not drive-able at that time.Included is a spare parts car, a 1961 180. It was originally a gas engine model but I removed the engine.I have MANY spare parts, some of them pictured: rear axle, engine, bumpers, seats, transmissions, steering column, muffler, interior parts, head, flywheel, etc. etc. etc.I have MANY repair manuals, parts manuals, etc. that detail every aspect of the car so you can do your own repairs like I have.There is a very poor paint job on the car, orange-peeling texture in places and some chips. If you want it as a show car you will need to strip it to the metal or base paint and do a complete repaint.It does leak oil but doesn't burn much oil. You can drive the 1957 vehicle anywhere. You will need to trailer the parts car and all the spare parts. It will take several hours to load everything.I live in downtown Reno, Nevada and have time on the weekend to assist with the loading. If you pay with a cashier's check I will cash it at my bank prior to your departure. This has been a wonderful car and always gets lots of attention in my daily commute. There are very few of these around and none that I'm aware of that are driven daily. If you have any questions I will usually reply within one day and will always reply within three days. I will continue to list this on a 7 day "buy it now" listing until it is sold. I'm in no rush to sell it. The prior "sale" on February 6th 2015 was a fraudulent bid. The prospective buyer had no intention of purchasing my car.
