Vehicle Detail
I am helping to sell this for a friend who does not have computer access to sell on eBay. While looking at a Northern California map, we are located just about 50 miles East of Marysville, Calif. either taking I-5 or Hwy 99 to Hwy 20. to Marysville Rd. to the town of Dobbins, Calif.Or if going West, I-80 past the town of Truckee, Ca. to Hwy 20 exit Grass Valley, Nevada City.We are 100 miles North of Sacramento, Hwy 49 to Hwy 20 Auburn, Grass Valley, Nevada City.Either way, email your phone number so we can further directions from there to Marysville Rd. in the town of Dobbins, The car must be picked up by March 7th, so please plan to be ready of how you will be transporting the car should you be the winning bid. This car had the entire under carriage cleaned and painted along with having about $3,000. worth of chrome plating done, for the intent of having a floor mirror underneath at auto shows to view it all. A lot of time & money was also spent on the engine, interior and paint. All that you see was done on a purposely looked for, very clean and well kept low miles car to start with. The following items have been completely chrome plated; the entire rear differential including the brake shoe backing plates & brake drums, the entire drive shaft, rear suspension trailing arms, gas tank support straps, the front lower A-arm frames, the entire steering drag linkage. transmission oil pan, torque converter cover, cross member, top engine accessories, oil pan, radiator fan shroud, brake master cylinder, on & on, etc.etc. This car use to have hydraulics, but was removed. The custom upholstered box in the bed near the tail gate was special built to contain all of the necessary components.Stock springs & upper A frames were installed, so it now needs to have the front end alignment done, or the new owner can re-install this to have hydraulics again. Currently has non-opt tags with clear title.Runs & drives great otherwise, having a great stereo sound system behind the seat area [see photo] Some smog items are available to go with the car; exhaust manifolds, smog pump & bracket, a few more items but not 100% of everything that would be necessary. Most of the engine & it's compartment items have been chromed; fan shroud, master cylinder, hood hinges, etc. The car does have some very simple cosmetic appearance issues that need T.L.C., such as both front wheel opening moldings have small dings. The car body has a few small areas where the paint chipped or peeled, etc. but nothing major, as these very few flaws mentioned are tough to notice, the cars overall custom appearance over rides it all. Email me for more questions/details/photo picture pack, or send me your phone number so I will call you. Thanks for looking! On Feb-08-15 at 13:16:52 PST, seller added the following information: All smog items, plus the A/C box which also contains the heater core, plus the windshield wiper motor & arms were removed because this car was meant for good weather/auto show purposes only, plus that being not a problem here in Calif. while during the summer months, with warm temps, less rain, etc. although air conditioning would have been much better to have. All of these deleted items can of course be obtained from your local auto wrecking yard, cleaned & put back on for this car to be back to being 100% weather road worthy again if it should ever need to be. I've seen many customized cars at auto shows, etc. to still have the factory option windshield wipers, A/C & heater there. These items can easily be found, cleaned & put back on anytime afterwards. From what all of work & money that I can see that was put in to building this car in comparison to the present bid that it currently has, it is very well worth it to put back the A/C, heater & windshield wipers, as this is truly not your everyday looking El Camino with having an under carriage floor & chassis components to like this to be able to simply find for all of the time, work & money that's been put in to building this car this way, and it is a very good foundation start for someone else to finish it by putting their T.L.C. in to this, then making it of how they prefer for it to be.
