1982 Subaru BRAT. Two owner Brat, Just passed Colorado emission with flying colors in October. This car still has a rare working factory original A/C, the heat works, the lights work, the AWD works (just pop the clutch at any speed lift the lever and your cruising at 4x4), basically everything in the car works as it should. The car runs and keeps coolant temperature where it should and has very good oil pressure. The only thing that is not working is the original radio that is still installed. This car is ready to drive anywhere. This Brat starts right up, idles, shifts, drives, turns, and stops just as it should. The car is in great mechanical condition and is still being used to run around in. It is just fun to drive so miles will go up as I drive it. Since this fall, the car has received new tires, new battery, brand new upgraded front vented brake rotors, new ball joints, new fluids all around. This was all done to make it reliable for the Colorado winter. In the recent past the car has received a new clutch, complete head rebuild, new water pump, and other things to keep it in the top condition that it is in now. The car comes with two sets of keys, original owners manuals, and a clean and clear Colorado title. The Brat only has 104k original miles, it is in great condition with very little to no rust damage, please take your time to look over all the pictures, they are the best indicator of condition. The first picture shows the press button on the console that is suppose to turn it on, on the second pic is the cover that is suppose to pop up. The headlight is under that cover. I have forgotten about this because I have never used it and forgot how it works. I'm not sure if the button just turns the lap on or if it also lifts the cover. Either way the light does not come on and I don't want to pull on the cover. It could just be the bulb or I am not sure. But it does have the center headlight! It does work as it should!One has to have the high beams on then hit the center light switch. The cover then pops up and the center light turns on.This option was only available for a couple years and even still it was a very rare option selected in the vehicles sold those years.
