Vehicle Detail

This car has an amazing story. Grandpa worked for Dodge for over 35 years and when the very first chargers came off the line, he knew it was his dream car. He would call me and talk about it all of the time. Show me the brochures. When the first numbered limited edition SRT8 showed up at his dealership (this car...#932), he would call me and rev the motor so I could hear the Hemi engine. He couldn't stop going on and on about how much he loved this car. I asked him if he could have any color, what would it be? "This color!", he said, "Black Metallic with Carbon Fiber stripes!" He kept gushing, but there was no way he could get it...he couldn't afford it. But he deserved it! He's one of the best men I've ever known. So I contacted his boss, the owner of the dealership and I arranged to buy it with the intent to surprise him with the car. He would think I bought it and I think that's why he kept calling me about it. He couldn't own it, but he was hoping I would, so he could at least know it was in the family and perhaps ride in it once in a while...but never in a million years would he ever think we would buy it for him. He was in for an amazing, unbelievable surprise. The car disappeared out of the show room. He called me to tell me someone bought it and it was gone for good. I acted disappointed, but didn't let on that I had anything to do with it. We drove it to his house with it...my wife video'd the whole thing. He's a man's man, I've never seen him cry ever, well after showing up at his house with the car (he was so excited that it was I that bought the car). He went around it, opening every door, the trunk, the hood, gushing about how much he loves this car, how amazing it is...none stop adoration. I then say, "well, Dad, as amazing as this car is, you know what's really amazing? I didn't buy this car for me, we bought it for you!" I place the keys in his hand and he turned almost ghost white and kept muttering, "no you didn't, no, no, no you didn't!" And then he had tears well up in his eyes and he turned away to wipe them as if not to let us know his emotion! It was amazing! One of the best moments of our life. You can see the video on YouTube "Grandpa gets a challenger" or http://youtu.be/woxx4UOzFOQ After enjoying the car for the last 5-6 years, caring for it, keeping it immaculate, driving it on only the nicest days, parking it far out in the parking lot, he called us and said he can't afford to keep it anymore. Insurance, registration, increased fuel cost, increase cost of everything else in life, he thanked me for all the years of use, but it's time to let it go. I asked him if he was sure, I was a bit shocked, but things are tough these days and he's had so much enjoyment with it, but he can't keep it any longer. So up for sale is the Limited Edition #932 of 6400 Dodge Challenger SRT8...one of the nicest you'll ever find. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as Grandpa has, it's meant a lot to our family. This vehicle has a Maximum Care Warrantee still in effect from Dodge until July 10th, 2015. It is transferrable for only $50 via the factory so bid with confidence.
