1960 Chrysler New Yorker Quick Summary: It's a Beautiful Car in Great Condition. I would Drive it anywhere. All Original except for r-134a Air Conditioning Upgrade & Newer TiresGaraged most of its life.413-V8 runs like a sewing machineBody is in Good ShapeNo Cancer (Rust is limited to surface & superficial) Interior is Fair-GoodPower Everything This ad breaks my heart but I never get to drive it or see it due to an overseas job. So, this car is up for sale. Most everything is in Good-Great Shape, so I'll just cut to the chase & list known issues which are: * Interior Cosmetics are Fair - Seats, Carpet, Dash pad & Headliner are worn, but all the features which make this car great are in good shape & in good working order * Exterior - Dings & minor scratches. Paint & Trim are in Good shape & complete * Brakes - Stops fine, but is the original 4-Drum system w/ the Single Master Cylinder. It all works fine, but if I had the time, I would convert to a Front Disc Brake system * Leaks: None major, but some trans fluid & power steering drips. This is pretty normal w/ cars of this age (& even more for newer cars!) * Gas Gauge (or maybe the Sending Unit) doesn't work * Clock doesn't work Overall, I would rate this car at about an 80 out of 100. Not a Car Show winner, but can be with very minor cosmetic attention. I wish I could take it on one last road trip down to South Beach or someplace like that, esp since gas is so cheap now. BTW, it gets about 13-15mpg...not bad for a 5000-6000lb car. Also, unlike most older cars in my State (GA), this car actually has a CLEAR TITLE, 'In-Hand.' The Fine Print: As-Is, Where-Is Sale. No Warranty of any kind is made (Fer Gawd's sake, it's a 55yr old car!) Buyer Pays Any Fees associated with Transaction. Transactions are to be conducted Face-to-Face. Cash be 'In-Hand' before Car & Title are exchanged. All other Non-Cash must Clear Immediately & be verified by proper authority (i.e.-my bank). Once Transaction is committed: a) a $750 NON-Refundable deposit required, b) Full Transaction must be completed within 10 days, if not, Deposit is forfeited & car is back on the market.
