Sweet 1972 VW Pop-Top Camper - 2 year project, was to be my daily driver but change of situation requires sale. It has been professionally restored and painted. Ready to go for many years enjoyment - should not need much maintenance for quite a few years. My specialty is classic vehicle restorations, especially early 1970s Chrysler muscle cars – Challengers, Hemi Barracudas, etc. I have over 20 years experience and have done over 100 partial and complete automobile restorations. This will verify that I restored a 1972 VW Camper Van for Frank in 2012 - 2014. Frank had the donor van delivered directly to my shop in Bushnell, FL and we started a complete dis-assembly of the van, removing all interior and exterior parts, wheels, tires shocks, motor, transmission, lights, bumpers, camper pop-top, windows, etc. The following was done new to the vehicle at my shop: Paint prep – done in my shop - base/clear coat using best paint available, paint done by Chipper’s Personal Restoration, Inverness, FL - hand buffed to gloss finish All Tires - Hankook factory new Shocks - Koni HD – factory new Brakes - completely new by Sunray Bugs in Dade City, FL – calipers, all brake lines, master cylinder, etc. Emergency brakes - completely new by Sunray Bugs in Dade City, FL Rebuilt transmission - Hilltop Motors, JAX, FL – still under warranty All glass removed, any rusted metal replaced, new window seals, then re-installed by Best-Way Auto Glass, Wildwood, FL All new door/body gaskets/rubber - driver/passenger windows have new crank handles, mechanism and rubber, felt., etc. New Interior, new hard rubber flooring in driver/front passenger area New upholstery/interior, New front seats, new seat belts, new wood floor and wood back sleep area All new body lights/lens – new tail lights, new headlights re-wired, new ignition switch New license plate assembly/light New antennae, gas tank removed, cleaned, new sending unit Repainted Poptop with new seals, new canvas and mesh, child cot included SONY Bluetooth CD - entertainment system – will handle phone calls Rope lighting around center top opening New sun visors, new battery New odometer cable Ice box/sink not installed but included - original Original kid's top cot/hammock in pop-top Newly rebuilt engine – Hilltop Motors, JAX, FL – 1700 cc – still under warranty New trans-axles out of the box Always garaged and covered - custom cover included Frank (352) 748-6629 - call me with questions
