Up for auction is 2000 Volvo S80 2.9 Liter 5 Cylinder 4 door Luxury Sedan with only 138K miles which is low for Volvos as they are known to get high mileage plus being one of the safest crash ratings. This is not a standard but luxury sedan that now lists for $38K for a 2015 Model year. Volvos are known to even go upto a million miles on original engines (I've seen 2 others listed locally one with 221K miles & other with 335K miles both asking $2K+). The KBB value on this shows between $2200-$2500. Ideal for Teenagers, Growing family with kids & college students. I won it from a Police auction but then same day also bought a smaller 4 cyl 3 Series BMW commuter car so am reselling this one as also have a Minivan for family car. The title says MD Salvage & notes say "Abandoned" since it was a Police Impounded/confiscated vehicle. Also moved to a townhouse so have no space to park it without tags. Here is what I did after I bought, replaced the battery as old one was totally dead. - 2 tires were busted so purchased a nice matching set of slightly used Michelins all season from Craigslist (new ones would cost $800). - Cleaned interior interior & trunk as it had previous owners stuff. Car will be detailed Prior to owner pickup once the snow melts away. - Sunroof wasn't working but now got it fixed - Both front side marker light were missing, I replaced with a set from eBay - toped-off all fluids & checked Belts & hoses. - Added a set of used OEM Volvo Floor Mat set (sells for $145 new) Car starts, runs, drives & stops good, doesn't smoke & engine has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smooth, no slipping. Have tested the below power options all work (have not tried the headlight wipers & washers though): - Power dual front Leather Seats - All Power Windows - Power Door locks - Power Sunroof - Power Outside mirrors - Dual front Heated Seats - Radio - Headlight, Turn Signals (one tail light bulb is out) - Horn - Climate Control/heater works well - Interior map lights work - Clean trunk with Spare tire. Just filled up with 12 gallons of fresh gas. Serious buyers can come for a test drive before the auction ends not after winning it. Car should be drivable long distance, I've driven around 80-90 miles locally as well as highway. Being sold AS IS condition. Pickup in Gaithersburg, MD 20882 which is around 30 minutes from Frederick, & Wash DC. about an hour from Baltimore, NoVa, WV & PA State lines. Buyer pays all Transportation fees. On Jan-15-15 at 20:04:13 PST, seller added the following information: One person updated that it is a 6 cylinder not 5. Also the thumping sound on front right side is possibly due to loose Sway bar link $20 part & takes 15 min to fix. I forgot to mention there is not major under body rust on the car & exhaust seems t be in good shape as well.
