Thanks for looking at this auction, Up for sale is my 2001 330ci, which I have owned since August 2013, and purchased with 183k Miles. I am selling this vehicle, as I just purchased a Z4 roadster. And need to make way for it. This BMW represents the age, and mileage on the car. And the fact that it has been lowered, and taken quite a few scrapes and bumps. The key mechanical issues that need to be addressed are: Power steering leak. The fluid needs to be topped up on a weekly basis. Oil filter housing leak. Top up with oil as needed, I check the level monthly. The drivers side door does not lock (common failure on E46) Probably in need of general tune up - another issue on high mileage e46`s, the components of the intake system often need replacing/cleaning which causes the engine to run rough. Currently the car has a rough idle when cold, or when the ambient temperature is frigid. (it is currently15 degrees in philadelphia as I write this!) The 18" BBS CH rims which are very pretty and exotic ($2000) are also badly kerbed and banged up, resulting in the tires being unable to be balanced. But when warmed up, still shows that it has life left in the engine, as it still pulls strongly and shifts smoothly. Ideally its going to suit someone who is willing to invest some time and effort in the car, or someone who is able to accept the shortcomings of the car, and looking for basic transportation, in a car that still attracts plenty of compliments and positive feedback on its looks. During my brief time with the car I have replaced all 4 tires Brake caliper, installed Turner Motorsports rotors and performance brake pads. Replaced the valve cover gasket along with the spark plugs. And also updated the rear taillights with updated smoked LED. Any questions please, ask. Test drives are welcome. Also - Just wanted to add that their is a knock/pinging from the engine when cold or it has been sitting for extended period. It can sound disconcerting. It goes away once warm. The engine has always done this in my time of ownership. Upon purchasing this vehicle - I took it for an inspection at vacmotorsports.com What they found was a : frozen passenger side caliper, worn front pads and rotors, worn tires, oil filter housing leak, valve cover gasket leak. I addressed all these issues, as outlined the main description - apart from the oil filter housing leak. The issue of the knock didn`t come up, or at time of last years inspection.
