1997 Jeep Wrangler. I bought this a about a year and a half ago with the intentions of fixing it up and having a fun extra vehicle to just cruise around in. My wife sold her car last summer and ended up using this as a daily driver, driving an hour and thirty minutes each way to and from work. We finally replaced her car with a brand new one and I have to many other projects going on to tackle the jeep project right now. The Jeep runs great This thing was getting almost 200 highway miles a day put on it and we had little issues. Last summer the water pump started to leak so I replaced the pump, hoses, and even decided to replace the radiator at that time. The Service engine light is on and was on when I bought the Jeep. I took it in and was told it is the sensor in the exhaust, more than likely lighting because of the exhaust leak described below. I am including a new in box exhaust as described below. Here is a video of the jeep just made a few days ago: youtube.com/watch?v=pwC8d7_cOr0 The Jeep six month old 8" wide black steel wheels from Summit Racing and the tires are about 50% rubber left. It has a a 10 month old BestTop soft top. I will also include with the sale the original 15" aluminum wheels and original soft top. Frame is in good shape. I have been asked that alot! This Jeep can be driven or made into a nice project. The body is what I would call fair, not as rusty as would have thought for a Minnesota Jeep Wrangler. There is some rust on the back near the lower tailgate hinge, not a hole yet but should be addressed. No holes in the floor, a little rust underneath that should be addressed. The worse part is by far the front driver's fender right on top. There is a rust hole about the size of a silver dollar.The only other thing I can really think that needs some attention is the heater blower switch. Heat works great but only on high. A new switch would take care of the issue, The interior is also fair. the carpet, dash. passenger seat and rear bench seat are all OK. the driver's seat in poor shape and ripped badly. I was not concerned with the fender or seat as I was going to replace both. The engine runs great, never had a problem except for the water pump as mentioned above. The exhaust has a leak where the exhaust pipe (converter tube) attaches to the exhaust manifold. The round gasket between pipes must be cracked. I have a brand new in box replacement exhaust system, still in the box from Summit Racing. It includes the new converter but no muffler. I will also include this with the sale of the Jeep. Along with the original top, wheels, and new in box exhaust. I also have a two inch lift that will go with the jeep, also new. The lift is basically four coil spring spacers but are aircraft grade Delron. This would make a good daily driver or a great project Jeep for someone, For the year its in pretty good shape. It has been adult driven and garaged when parked. The last 3 months we have only driven it about 300 mile. I HAVE CLEAR TITLE IN HAND, NO LOANS OR LIENS ON THIS JEEP.
