Vehicle Detail
1999 Ford F-450 Turbo Diesel 7.3L Powerstroke Crew Cab 4WD RV Hauler - ONLY 65K miles This 1999 RV hauler will pull anything you need! I am reportedly the third owner of this fantastic F-450 that was custom made for a very discriminating buyer in 1999. This truck reportedly cost $79,000 new, and was purpose built for a matching 40' fifth wheel RV that cost $119,000. I recently sold the RV, and now it is time for the truck to move on as well. Based on the low mileage of 65K, they didn't use it much. The trailer weighed 22,000 lbs, so I am confident that this will handle anything you tow with it! I was getting 10.5 - 11 mpg while towing that massive fifth wheel at 70 mph, rock steady! I purchased the truck and trailer in 2010 to use the RV as a full time residence at a remote jobsite. It has been stored since that time while I was overseas, and it is time for the truck to find a new home where it can do what it was built to do (the trailer has gone on to a new home already). It reportedly had a remanufactured engine in 2005 (Jasperengines.com), and transmission replaced/rebuilt ($10,000+ in receipts to confirm) at about 41,000 miles due to the original owner liking to tow that 22,000 lb. trailer in overdrive! Roughly 24,000 miles on the new engine and transmission, runs and shifts flawlessly. As the third owner, I’ve put less than 2000 miles on it in four years. Second owner of truck and trailer used the truck, but left the trailer as a permanent residence in south Florida. Truck has reportedly had seat covers and floor mats on it since new, and it shows (removed for photos, also included). Here’s what I know – 1999 Ford F-450 crew cab chassis with a custom Centurion RV bed, 15000 GVWR! 7.3L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel , engine replaced with remanufactured (jasperengines.com) at at about 41K miles by a previous owner Factory Transmission reportedly replaced/rebuilt at 41.000 miles by a previous owner 4 wheel drive with automatic hubsPS, PW, PDL, AC, 4WD, Auto trans, Cruise, Tilt, Power driver’s seat, AM/FM/CASS/CD Dexter 5.33 rear axle (reportedly, possibly a 5.11 or other ratio) Upgraded performance cold air intake! Upgraded performance chip (reported to add up to 125 EXTRA HORSEPOWER!) I dial in an extra 25hp, makes all the difference! EDGE Performance Engine Monitor on A pillar Bully Dog Outlook Engine monitor on A pillar (disconnected when EDGE installed) Separate transmission temp gauge on A pillar Prodigy Trailer Brake controller Aluminum wheels or Inserts – Looks sharp! Twin fuel tanks – 60 gallon capacity TRAXufs fuel transfer/totalizer control 20K fifth wheel RV hitch Custom Centurion RV bed, with: diamond plate surface with two additional storage compartments on side Separate fuse panel and 12v outlet in storage compartment Headache rack with rear window protection and TWO storage compartments Raised secondary tail and backup lights on rack Two seven pin RV pigtail connections Class V tow receiver and safety chain loops The few issues that I am aware of – Power door locks don’t work (Fuse? Dead battery in remote?) Interior fan works intermittently (bad switch or loose connection?) Graphics are getting tired (see photos) Missing cover on one of two trailer pigtail plug-ins on bed (see photos) Fuel doors need new springs to stay closedMinor dent on right front fender(see photo) Title in hand, vehicle for sale locally and on other venues. Vehicle located in Jacksonville, Florida. Local pickup or shipping at buyers expense. Additional photos available. The photos are the best representation of the condition of this vehicle. It is the customer's responsibility to inspect the truck before any agreement to purchase.
