This original truck came back to us via the client we acquired it for a few years ago and now wants another toy. Our dealership is representing this on the behalf of our client and is consigned to us for that purpose. Approximately 2 years ago we acquired this truck from another seller in Newport Beach Ca where it was represented to us to have come out of a private collection in that area. Purchased to match his '55 Bel Air (we sold him as well) this truck is quite original right down to the 6 cylinder engine and manual transmission. We would consider this truck to be "driver" quality and a very good one at that! By this time most of these trucks have been modified beyond recognition, however the list of modifications is shorter than its list of original parts. Such mods are LED taillights, chrome glove box door, tuck and roll seat and matching door panels, and Chevrolet rally wheels. Wood bed floor, gleaming chrome work, runs and drives like it should with no surprises. If you don't want to ever be looked at, smiled at and waved to, or be stopped in a parking lot where complete strangers pay you a compliment of owning a “cool truck”,.........well we hate to break it to you, ….......but this just isn't your truck. However if all the aforementioned sounded stupid then this indeed IS your truck after all! With this being said, enjoy the bidding and good luck to all. We feel the reserve on this vehicle is realistic and set fairly to closely parallel the market of these trucks today. In fairness to all bidders/lookers/shoppers the reserve WILL NOT be revealed,……….that’s why they call it an auction! Any bid taken will be a bid to buy with no exception. The car is available for pre inspection at my place of business in Portland Oregon. If any prospective purchaser wants to have the car pre inspected please feel free to do so. I am more than happy to get the car to any service facility you wish and can even recommend some shops here in town. Inspections will need to be done BEFORE the end of the auction without exception. If you are in fact the winning bidder, a deposit of $1,000 will need to be made within 48 hours of close of the auction. This deposit will be without refund. Final payment will need to be made within seven (7) days of close of the auction. I don’t own, work for, or am affiliated with a transport company, therefore any transportation estimates are purely estimates if given by me or my dealership personnel. Transportation will be the financial responsibility of the purchaser. Payment of both the deposit and final payment is to be made in U.S. currency. I accept cashier’s checks or cash only. As a consequence there may be additional minor wear on the vehicle that is typical of the age, such as minor superficial hairline scratches, small nicks and minor abrasions that are not indicated in this description. These factors will not detract from the overall appearance and value of the vehicle. Minor items such as cigarette lighters, manuals and CD magazines may also be missing. To the best of our knowledge we have indicated any mechanical problems that are present in the description above. However, we are selling the vehicle "as is", without warranty other than any existing factory warranty that may still remain.
