I bought this truck new in 1994. I drove regularly until 1998 when on a road trip the water pump went out causing the engine to over heat. While deciding what to do about the engine I came across a brand new Corvette LT1 take out motor (Same basic 350 small block Chevy) but fuel injected instead of TBI. I had my mechanic install the LT1 and an Accel DFI Fuel Injection system. At that point the truck became a project instead of a daily driver, and I became a father with alot less time and money for projects. I drove it to and from Chicago in 2002 but other than that it didn't get driven much (maybe 10,000 miles in the last 13 years. It was kept in the garage up until a few years ago when my kids started driving and it was relegated to the driveway where the intense Texas sun started taking its toll on the paint. 2 years ago I decided I would fix a few things and sell it. I changed out the Accel DFI for a much better system (Megasquirt) and the engine runs the best it has ever run. I couldn't bring myself to sell it so back out to the driveway it went for another 2 summers. Now the paint has really deteriorated, to the point that there is some surface rust in a few spots. The truck really needs someone to fix a few things and take care of it and it could be driven another 100k miles easily. The interior is in very good condition other than a little headliner sag up by the front windshield.
