1966 Volkswagen VW TRANSPORTER (Camper) Bus This classic VW Transporter was stored in a barn in northwest Arkansas for several years before being "rescued" in July 2013. I'm happy to do my best to answer any questions and/or provide additional photos upon request. ENGINE Runs good, and we haven't worked on it much. Carburetor and fuel lines were cleaned, and it starts every time. No trouble with the CLUTCH & GEARBOX. ALL NEW BRAKES! Drums turned & Cylinders, Shoes, Lines, Cables, Hardware, Bearings, Seals, and Backing Plates all replaced in 2014. TIRES: Fair to poor. I forgot to include all four hubcaps in my photos. BODY is in rough shape, with lots of bondo (especially on drivers' side at bottom) under a textured repaint. All DOORS are in pretty good shape. UNDERCARRIAGE is in fair condition with some rust; jacking points are solid, but pretty beat up; and the usual wear & tear. FRAME appears straight and is in good shape. INTERIOR: Cargo Area is open, with wood panels and a floor liner that still has some life. Three louvered windows are intact and functioning. Rooftop Pop-Up has not been tested. Overall, the seals are good and the vehicle is basically watertight. Hatch and doors function well. Cab is intact, with wooden door panels, good dashboard, wipers, heater, etc., and most of the original knobs and handles. Floor has rusty areas, with a few small holes, but mostly solid. Passenger-side Wing Window needs new glass. Seats are in poor condition. NEW Battery; NEW Ignition Switch. Lights and Signals are operational. There are a few extras, including misc. parts & manuals.
