Vehicle Detail
'64 Mercedes-Benz 220SE Cabriolet, white with navy interior, navy canvas top, and a 4 speed manual transmission. VIN 11102310055467 84,300 kms (52,400 miles) A rare and accessible opportunity to acquire a rapidly appreciating Mercedes-Benz 4 seat convertible! This car is located in Nova Scotia, Canada and of Ontario provenance. It has been in dry storage for 6+ years, is non-running, and would benefit from a full restoration. These cars were hand built and the last word in Mercedes quality. Production of the cabriolet was 2729 units, utilizing many common mechanicals with the coupe and saloon. If you have questions, please contact Richard at 902-488-4779, and I will do my best to assist a smooth transaction. This car is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty. I will accept a $1000 non-refundable deposit within 2 days of auction end. The balance must be received within 7 days of auction end and clear into my account before I transfer the title and give possession. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. I will assist your shipper in loading when I am available. The car is for sale elsewhere and I reserve the right to end the auction without notice at any time.On Dec-14-14 at 20:07:48 PST, seller added the following information: FAQs: Q: How much do you want for it? A: I'm not sure what it is worth, therefore this car is being auctioned with no 'buy it now' price. Q: What work is required? A: The car is probably 99% complete in terms of parts. This was a garage find and I have recently taken ownership without much history other than the car has sat in a dry attached garage for years. I have record of 2 owners in Ontario dating back to 1990. The engine turns freely and the shifter finds the gears. The is no fuel pump. It is believed that minor mechanical work is required, although this car is being sold as is and without warranty. The usual W111 rust spots underneath are affected, with some patchwork done such as lower level boot sections. Rust does not look in any way terminal and there are no holes through the floor, but the reason for mentioning the car will benefit from a full restoration is the buyer wanting to do this car justice will budget for properly addressing the under carriage area. I am limited to 24 pictures within this listing, but more pictures can be made available if you are interested in bidding.
