Honda revised the 2014 Rancher with a host of refinements that make one of the best-selling utility quads even better. Honda started with a clean sheet of design that builds from the previous Rancher’s successes. Honda designed an entirely new frame to give the rider the ultimate in handling prowess. From there, Honda redesigned the suspension, giving it an increase in travel to 6.7 inches that includes preload-adjustable shocks all the way around. Providing the link from shock to tires is a new rear swingarm setup that incorporates an enclosed-axle design. Other refinements include new bodywork and an increase in seat foam. The bodywork extends all the way down to the floorboards to improve mud protection. A re-designed seat with more foam will help keep you comfortable all day long. The powertrain is basically the same 420cc fuel injected single as before but with a claimed 10% increase in fuel ecomony. The engine fuel/tank cowling is easily removeable without tools and the headlight power has been increased.
