This Toyota has 156,008 miles and is being sold, as is with NO RESERVE so we do not have to re-list. We hold clear title. This Toyota is being auctioned by the Woodridge Illinois Police Department. The history of this vehicle is unknown as it was seized in a traffic-stop arrest that occurred on March 3rd, 2014. Following the arrest this Toyota was stored in a warehouse until it was awarded to us by court order. We will attempt to describe this vehicle to the best of our ability and you may inspect the vehicle, in person, by appointment. The body has scratches, scuff marks, and dents. The clear coat on the hood is lifting. There is fluid on the top and bottom of the engine. See photos. The interior is dirty and shows ware. The radio does not work. The overhead sunglasses holder does not stay closed. See photos. Before our mechanics moved the Toyota from our warehouse it had to be jumpstarted. They also identified that the starter motor and possibly other components relating to starting will need service. During a brief test drive the Toyota accelerated, stopped and handled as expected for a vehicle of this age. After the Toyota was parked it would not restart most likely caused by issues relating to the starter. The auction winner will most likely need to have this Toyota towed from our lot. It is also suggested that the buyer have this Toyota inspected/serviced by a qualified mechanic before use. See photos. The NADA listed value for this 1999 Toyota 4Runner Utility 4D 2WD (4Cyl) is $1,900 for “Rough Trade-In”, $2,650 for "Average Trade-In” and $3,275 for "Clean Trade-In”. We would put this vehicle is in “rough condition” but it is always recommended that you inspect the vehicle and make your own assessments before bidding.
