I have had this diesel wagon for the last 6 years and has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. Has always started right up-even in Tahoe in the winter. We only use it on weekends for camping/roadtrips so almost all highway miles. Can run on biodiesel and plenty of space in trunk if you want an extra tank for straight veggie oil. If you maintain this car it will last for 500,000 miles. It is old so not in perfect condition, but engine runs great. Below is a list of what I have repaired and what needs to be repaired but mostly cosmetic stuff which I never cared about.Odomoter stopped 1.5 years ago at 196K miles. Probably has about 210K. Fuel Pump has a slow leak so you will leave diesel drops on your driveway.Interior driver side door doesn't have armrest (it's in the trunk if you want to fix it)Back windows don't work (only 2 of us so didn't want to pay to fix it)HVAC doesn't workMoon roof tilts up but does not fully retract. No dents or dings but body not in perfect condition.New radio and speakersReplaced glow plugs and glow plug relayReplaced coolant fan and hosesReplaced hydraulic fuel lineReplaced oil coolant hoses Replaced brakes/padsRegular oil changesSince the car has always run great, I never fixed the cosmetic stuff since it is just my weekend surf buggy.
