You are bidding on a rare 1985 Mercedes Benz 280SE sedan. These were never officially imported to the United States. The correct VIN is WDB1260221A149273. I purchased this from the original owners family last year. It does not have the usual V8, but rather a 2.8L fuel injected double-overhead cam inline 6. I have all the receipts and records from new. The car was serviced from 1998 to 2013 at the same repair shop in Scottsdale. The color is Thistle Green Metallic with an ivory interior. All original including the radio and cassette player. Even the clock works. When I purchased the car I had the following repairs done at German Auto Service an expert on Mercedes:Compression Check 135/125/136/130/140/135Had the valves adjusted, set timing and replaced spark plugsLube/Oil FilterReplaced Fuel Accumulator, Fuel PSI Regulator and Fuel Pressure Check Valve.Topped off all fluids and had a safety inspection done Total Bill - $1367.59 In April 2014 I had the following repairs done:Replaced Fuel Distributor and all Fuel Injectors/Seals Total Bill - $1990.53 I have driven the car 1200 trouble free miles. The interior is in great shape for its age. Some sun fading on door tops and a few minor tears. Dash is perfect with one small crack less than an inch.
