Vehicle Detail
This is a 1975 BMW R90/6 in very good shape. New handelbars, grips, and fork boots. Recent clutch replacement. Tachometer not working and odometer is not accurate. Best guess based on previous owners is about only 30,000 miles on this classic bike. Trip meter works fine which is handy to keep track of mileage and fuel consumption. Right carb might need a little attention as bowl occasionally fills, but other times it does not. These are the only issues I know of. No major dings or dents anywhere, just very minor wear on a vintage bike. Reliable and string runner, easy starter, will move on down the road. Have some service records to go along with it. The original seat pan comes with it, as do the original passenger footpegs, the micro tankbag pictured, and a carb gasket kit. All the keys are there too.On Nov-26-14 at 08:36:53 PST, seller added the following information: I want to address the 1 negative feedback. I am new to eBay. I avoided it for many years because of all the horror stories of fraud I have heard. I finally decided to try it out in hope of finding this sweet old airhead a new home. I originally listed the bike as a fixed price auction. I accepted an offer of $3,000. Afterward, the buyer disappeared for a couple of days and didn't answer my message. So right off the bat, starting to get nervous. Then I learned he was from Canada and wanted me to ship to a Vermont address. He provided the address but didn't explain anything more. I googled the address and it is a gas station/convenience store. He finally got back to me and I asked him about this and he said yeah it's a as station and that he has all his stuff shipped there. He wanted to send me a cashier's check along with the transport company that was to pick up the bike. So then the bike leaves and I'm left holding his check. Will it be any good? Who knows. After this exchange, I called the gas station. Nobody there had ever heard of him or any eBay "drop-off" activity. The whole thing made me feel very uncomfortable, so I canceled the sale. He still has his money, I still have my bike. Should be the end of it. But then the guy flipped out and gave me negative feedback. Despite the fact that I provided him with my cell number immediately after the auction ended and asked him to call, he never even attempted. What seems unfair to me is that eBay has allowed this guy to wreck my feedback on my FIRST auction. However, as the seller I am not allowed to defend myself or leave feedback? Seems wrong. I'm pretty upset about this episode and this will likely be my first and last auction. That being said, my number is (580) 320-7461. My name is Mark. Call anytime if you're interested in the bike. If you have already bid and feel uncomfortable about it, let me know and I'll cancel your bid. Not a problem. Believe me, I understand your apprehension all too well.
