Vehicle Detail
1999 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4X4 4.0L, All Original, Low Miles: 64,000. Family owned, garage kept, my father ordered this new after he retired, window sticker just over $29,000 (see pictures). Highly collectible! Very rare to find a 1999 Jeep in this condition! Driver and passenger air bags and four-wheel anti-lock brakes. 4x4, Automatic Transmission with optional select-trac. The Gun Metal Blue Exterior is in excellent shape, the paint shines like new! Never left outside overnight or used off-road. THIS WAS A GROCERY GETTER FOR MY RETIRED PARENTS!!! Dark Grey Leather Interior is in exceptional condition. Still have the original floor mats from the factory! This Jeep has been meticulously cared for, serviced according to factory recommendations by the original dealership since new, with all records available. Runs and drives like a dream. Turns heads everywhere it goes! My father ordered this Cherokee with the customer preferred package, including: premium leather seats (treated regularly with Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner), power driver’s seat, selec-trac full time 4wd system, light group, overhead console with digital display, woodgrain instrument cluster, deep tinted glass, full size matching spare (never used), and 15x7 luxury aluminum wheels – my father loved these wheels, they were hand washed regularly along with the entire vehicle. He also ordered all the heavy duty equipment Jeeps are known for, the Up-Country package includes: trac-lok differential, skid plates, tow hooks, heavy duty suspension, auxiliary transmission cooler, and heavy duty engine cooling. Air conditioning blows cold, and the heat blows very hot, in colder climates you will be toasty warm! AM/FM CD Stereo with auxiliary port. Comfort Features: Leather wrapped tilt steering wheel, Cruise control, Power Driver Seat, Tachometer, Power door locks, Heated power exterior mirrors, Roof Rack, Leather Upholstery, Intermittent wipers, Power windows, Rear defogger, Rear wiper. We purchased this Jeep with 50,000 miles. My father drove it less than 4,000 miles a year. We had professionally installed a CompuStart 2500’ range Auto/Remote Start/Entry System. New Hella vision plus upgraded head lights (way better than the stock headlights). All new Daystar suspension bushings up front (drives straight). Recent service includes: new front pads, rotors and calipers. Four new Monroe Gas Magnum Shocks. New Monroe gas magnum steering stabilizer. Four new Winter Mark tires. New stainless muffler. Transfer case fluid. Full tune-up (plugs/wires/cap/rotors/K&N air filter). Top of the line NAPA Battery. All aforementioned service within the last 10,000 miles. This is beautiful vehicle. You will never see a 1999 Jeep in this condition. Highly collectible!! Can you tell me if all the power features, including the seats are working properly? Is there any rust on the undercarriage? Also, has the engine received any routine maintenance like rear main seal, gaskets etc. recently? Has anyone smoked in the vehicle? As to payment, I see that you'd prefer cash. Would you accept a bank transfer or wire transfer? Thanks for taking the time to respond. ********************************************************************************************************************************************* We tried to be as thorough as possible in the listing, but we have been receiving so many good questions, it is amazing what you do not think of when compiling information. I will be sharing this post for others to read, as you had several good questions. ALL the power features work, from seats, to windows/locks, cruise, air/heat, every button, switch and light, EVERYTHING works as it should. My father is, and we are as well, very proactive when it comes to maintenance on all our vehicles. If any item begins to show even a slight sign of malfunction it is immediately repaired or replaced, mechanical or otherwise. HOWEVER, this Jeep has not needed anything beyond the maintenance/upgraded items listed in the ad, it has been an extremely reliable vehicle. To our knowledge the undercarriage does not have any rust. My father had the vehicle undercoated, I’m not sure what they call it but it is a thick black somewhat sticky material all underneath the Jeep. We always undercoat our vehicles with Fluid Film every fall, since we purchased the Jeep we’ve had it also undercoated with Fluid Film every fall, even though it had the undercoating, we knew it wouldn't hurt and we thought it would offer extra protection, plus it helps to keep things lubricated underneath. Our mechanic knows how picky we are about our vehicles and he has never mentioned any areas of concern under the Jeep and it always passes PA inspection with flying colors. The main seal/gaskets have not been replaced, as they have not given us any signs of needing replaced. To our knowledge there are no leaks or areas indicating attention. The garage floor is always clean and we do not visibly see any drips/damp areas. As I said we are proactive with maintenance, but we do not believe in tearing things apart without a reason, we like as much as possible to remain factory original until otherwise necessary. Please keep in mind though, this is a 1999 and things do decay with time, regardless of use/non-use, and I’m sure this is why you asked this question. The winning bidder will likely need to replace such seals/gaskets down the road, but at this time the Jeep has not called for it. The Jeep has NOT been smoked in, nor has it EVER had any pets or small children in it. This was a really good question and I can’t believe we forgot to include this in our ad, it is something we personally always ask, as we are a non-smoking family and we've seen in other vehicles the wear/tear pets and children can do, this Jeep has had none of that. We would consider a bank transfer, we have never done that before and I would need to contact our credit union to see how that would work, but we would definitely consider it, especially if the winning bidder has a high positive eBay rating, such as yourself. Hope this information was helpful, but if you have any other questions/concerns please feel free to email or give my husband a call, Jeff 814-547-3501.On Nov-19-14 at 16:09:36 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: We have had requests for pictures of the under carriage of the Jeep, unfortunately we have reached the maximum number of pictures Ebay will permit for this posting, however we have compiled a YouTube video with pictures of the under carriage, the underneath of the doors and the back hatch, the engine and the brand new Pennsylvania inspection good until January 2016, as usual, the Jeep passed with flying colors. To view the additional pictures please use the YouTube link below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74VP-ZJE1KY Thank you for your interest and please keep the questions coming, we will respond as quickly and as best as we can. On Nov-19-14 at 16:43:06 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE: In the YouTube video of the under carriage and underneath of the doors, the bumpy look is the aforementioned undercoating, it is a thick black somewhat sticky material my father had applied to the underneath of the Jeep to protect it from rust. It has also had Fluid Film applied over it since we have owned it. We wanted to clarify the pictures to ensure viewers knew what they were looking at.
