*** 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS *** This is a great example of an original car taken off the road years ago waiting to be found and resurrected again! The Monte Carlo Super Sport is actually the last full-frame rear wheel drive/live axle, carbureted cast iron V-8 muscle car GM ever made!! These SS Monte Carlos represent NASCAR throughout with it Winston Cup bodywork, factory aluminum medium-rise intake manifold capped off with a Rochester Quadrajet 750cfm 4 barrel carburetor and the high lift L82 Corvette camshaft. As with most Super Sport Monte Carlos this car is loaded with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Intermittent Wipers, Cruise Control, Air Conditioning, tilt wheel, Dealer Installed Sunroof, Power Trunk Release, Bucket Seats with Console, Dual Remote Windows, Specific Monte Carlo SS Wheels and Full Gauge Package with the Quartz Clock. Since being taken out of storage the car has needed and received a set of new radial tires and a new cd/mp3 stereo, four new halogen headlights and the headliner started sagging so I had to have it replaced. The interior is in great shape and clean as would be expected for a documented 89k mile original car. This car has been fully serviced including a new battery, new plugs and wires and distributor rotor button. All fluids have been changed in all mechanicals. The engine starts right up and quickly settles down to a smooth idle. It runs very well and has a ample power and is tight. Brakes have been serviced and stop proficiently. The A/C is still very cold and the heat is hot, no heater core leaks in the floor. Doors do not sag and the sunroof does Not leak. The body is very solid and admirably straight for almost 30 years old. Quarters are straight with no rust and the trunk pan and surrounding metal are impeccable as are the floors. Paint is light and fading in areas but it is original. Everything is as would be expected from an unmolested life long southern car that was driven then stored.
