Hi there EV enthusiasts! What you see above is a 1990 Ford Ranger Pickup that has been converted to a plugin all electric drive vehicle. This truck was professionally converted by Electric Blue. It gets around 30 miles in hilly turain. The truck might get better milage on flat land, I'm not sure. It is a work in progress. Most of the original truck parts are what you'd expect from a 1990 Ford Ranger. A Curtis controler runs the voltage going to the motor. The electric motor is strong and hasn't really been used so it is essentially new. The ADC9 is a 300 horse power motor. The truck has a 24 pack of 6volt batteries that is part of a 144 volt system. It has 20 trojan t-106 batteries in the bed and 4 in the engine compartment to make it a 24 battery system. The 20 batteries in the bed are brand new, a $2,000 value. The suspention has air shocks to compensate for the weight of the batteries. This truck is ideal for someone who is "hands on". I'm letting this go because frankly I don't have the knowlage to make improvements and up-grades that I wished to implament. I hope whomever buyes this has fun exploring the possibilities! Enjoy!
