I have owned this 56 Chevy P.U. for 22 years and have driven it regularly. It has a 350 Vortec engine with Edelbrock intake and carb, mild cam, headers, HEI ignition. A turbo 400 trans with shit kit and TCI converter. Ford 9 inch posi with 350 gears. Rear tires are 295 R 15 on 10" wide Centerlines. Has a 69 Nova front clip with power disc brakes and power steering. Uses a Mustang 2 booster and master cylinder. Firewall has been smoothed off as well as the dash being smoothed and knobs being placed below dash for a clean look. Has a tilt steering and rewired with a Centec wire kit. Has a receiver type hitch and 4 wire plug for towing. Truck is fast and fun to drive. It has been on the road for many years and has a loose front end but very drivable as is. Brake master cylinder is located under floor and could use residual check valves which I have never had. Truck can be used as a rat rod, not rod or be driven while re-doing it as a street rod. On Nov-13-14 at 11:41:03 PST, seller added the following information: Uploaded a pic of the rear view and it shows the condition of the paint better. Clear coat is wearing off. Paint was on the truck before I bought it.. I also need to add more to the description. It is the front fenders that have the rust in the rear portion forward of the door. Patch panels are available. The rear fenders show no areas of rust. Some rust on corners of grill. Gas gauge not working. Some lower cab damage behind bed, but a small area.
