“Eco challenge – The Adventure race” 1 of 35 made. From my first search for this truck until now the story has remained the same. This is a very rare truck and a unique opportunity to own a part of Land Rover history. I found the following on a Land Rover Web site where someone was selling another one of these a few years ago.For those who are not familiar with the XD, it was a special package by Land Rover. Only 35 were built in 1996, 28 of them for the Eco-Challenge race in British Columbia that year as support vehicles. There were 7 that were sold to the general public and this is one of those seven. This still has it's original "eco challenge" decals on the doors. After the "eco challenge" the trucks were sold to a land rover dealers, they were supposedly used as promotional pieces for special events. I bought my truck a truck a few years ago from a guy in S.C. so the body has no rust (the rear ladder does have a small amount, but this is not part of the body.). Like the guy who bought the above noted truck I was going to rebuild it back to almost new, however I soon found I didn’t the have time. So I drove it for a while and then stored it. The truck has leather seats and is in overall good condition however the cloth on the ceiling needs to be redone.The truck is in good condition overall, as I said I bought it from someone in SC and then had it in Michigan for 3 years and then had it trucked down to where I live (Florida) about 6 months ago, when it was in Michigan it was in storage most of that time so there is basically no rust and the body is in really good condition with the exception of one dent on the left rear quarter panel. (See pic). The paint is a little faded, but it is almost a 20 year old truck. For the age of the truck and type of truck it is in overall good condition. There is the original XD roof rack and front brush guard and winch, with various tow hooks around the body. The roof rack is in good condition and very strong. The truck runs but could use a tune up and needs a new alternator. Otherwise the truck is in solid condition. On Nov-08-14 at 15:42:40 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked for interior pictures, so I have included a few here. The interior is in good condition, and as I said the cloth on the ceiling needs to be re-fitted. There are no tears in the cloth it has just come loose from the ceiling. So once again the main concerns are the cloth on the ceiling, the truck needs a tune up and a new alternator. It's a good truck and I will hate to see it go, but I would like to see someone build it up the way it deserves to be redone. If you have any other questions please email me.
