Vehicle Detail

Im selling a 1987 Monte Carlo SS. So heres the backstory...This car is a hurricane sandy flood car, car was flooded up to the windows. The TITLE IS CLEAN, NOT A SALVAGE. Bought this car from a coworker who received the car after the hurricane. He bought it from the previous owner in Long Island, didn't pick it up in time, then the hurricane got it. After picking it up, he let it dry out, swapped in another 305 motor and rebuilt 2004r transmission, drove it for a year, then a brake line failed and it sat in his driveway until i bought it from him this year. Mileage on the car is unknown, old gauge cluster read 86,000, not sure if it rolled over. Has been replaced with another that currently reads 39k. The original motor was pulled and i recently finished swapping in a 5.3 LM7 Fuel injected motor with the factory 2004r automatic. The setup uses a 2003 5.3 factory tuned ecu. Motor is all stock aside from rear 02 sensor and evap delete. Engine is wired up with a new PSI conversion lsx harness with connectors for a t56 setup if you want to swap the trans later. obdII connection has been mounted under the passenger dash and the check engine light is wired into the dash and functions as stock. Trans has been recently rebuilt and shifts smooth. Car has all new brake and fuel lines, new kyb shocks, moog springs, flow master mufflers, new idler arm, rear drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, front rotors, calipers and wheel bearings. Radiator is also new along with the hoses and heater core. Differential fluid was changed as well. Motor came out of a 2003 suburban with 120k. Car has power steering, working heat, no AC, manual windows. Stereo has 4 new pioneer speakers which I'm leaving in the car, but I would like to keep the headunit and amps, so you would have to put a radio in it. Motor is using factory manifolds with no cats, and is putting out a little over 300 horsepower and 325 foot pounds of torque with the factory tune. Inside the car all switches were replaced, door switches for dome light, wiper switch, turn signal switch, all the fuses and relays. Maroon interior was removed and power washed, needs a headliner, visors and dash has the usual cracks. Seats aren't torn but are faded from the sun. Keep in mind this is a project car so some things still need to be finished. The trans torque converter lockup isnt hooked up yet, and it needs a different tv cable kit for the vortec intake. Its currently using an ls1 kit which doesnt fit perfect, but still shifts safely for daily driving and cruising. I wouldnt take it to the track until the correct vortec intake cable kit is installed. The ECU is sitting under the passenger footwell carpet and needs to be mounted under the dash. The cables going to the climate control switches aren't hooked up and need to be replaced. I set all the doors so the heat functions being winter is around the corner. Just flip the blower speed switch and you have heat. Like i said the dash is cracked, and the headliner is missing. It has rust on the inside of the driver door and some on the passenger door, so you will need to repair or replace them if you want it done right. The hood has been replaced as well as the trunk lid. Lower rear quarter panels are solid, as well as the rear frame rails, trunk floor, and under the rear seats.. The fuel gauge works but only goes up to 3/4 when full. The car will need floors soon. There is a hole behind the passenger seat is thin as well as by the passenger right corner foot well, a hole about the size of an orange.. Driver side is solid but does have surface rust. The driver side support for the transmission crossmember is rusted out on the bottom, will need to be cut and new piece of steel welded in. Still holds just fine, just doesn't look good. Also cars original color is white, right now its epoxy primed flat black with some sliver ss badging on top. door jambs are still white. Michelin tires have around 80% tread left. That should cover just about everything, want to be thorough so there are no surprises when you come to see the car. Ive been driving it for a few months now, sounds awesome has plenty of power, runs like a champ. Would like to keep it but i also have a camaro that i I'm building up, and i really don’t have the time or space to continue with the monte. Car is being sold as is. New Engine, drivetrain, suspension parts. Gas tank replaced, Walbro 255 fuel pump installed, going into a corvette fuel filter/regulator though AN braided line.New 3/8 fuel line, line has been moved to driver side frame rail for fuel injection setup.New brake lines at all 4 wheels.Brand new rear wheel cylinders, brake drums, shoes, and hardware. Parking brake works great.New front wheels bearings, rotors, calipers and brake pads.New moog springs in the front and rear, as well as sway bar links in the front.New kyb shocks installed front and rear, as well as a new idler arm. Engine is a junkyard 5.3 LM7 out of a 2003 suburban with 121,000 miles. New oil pan has been installed for better ground clearance as the truck pan hangs low.New PSI LSX conversion engine harness running though factory location to passenger side footwell into the 5.3 pcm.Umi performance conversion motor mount brackets and new factory motor mounts.Brand new battery, starter, alternator, water pump, power steering pump, belt tensioner, mass air flow sensor, o2 sensors.Brand new radiator, hoses, Single electric fan, and new summit trans cooler linesEngine is mated to a recently rebuilt, 2004r with new stock stall torque converter.Exhaust is using factory manifolds going into dual flow master mufflers and tailpipes.
