1965 MERCURY COMET 202 4door, 200ci six cylinder, three speed column shift, 68207 miles on odometer (not actual mileage). Has been being used as a daily driver. Drives and stpos well. Was told by the previous owner that the motor was rebuilt about 68000 miles ago. He bought the car from the original owner (who religiously serviced this car) about 5 or 6 years back. I bought the car from him because he was broke. I have installed a new fuel pump, clutch and pressure plate, and replaced the transmission with lower mileage unit. Pretty much everything works except AM radio, key cylinder is missing from trunk (a screwdriver does the trick) and latch is missing from driver's vent window. Seats have rips and tears and headliner is drooping. All glass is good. Paint appears to be 100% original and is getting thin. I have seen no evidence of wreck repair. Has small dings here and there on the body, but otherwise is quite straight. A few small rusted through spots on lower door and fender (see pics), but floor and trunk appear quite solid. Has a heater and trailer hitch. Tires will need replacing in the not too distant future. Bumpers need to be straightened and chromed. Manual steering and drum brakes.
