I am selling a 1964 Mercury Comet 2 door (404 Trim Model) that I recently purchased from a 83 year old neighbor. It has 42K original miles. Runs and drives great just not my dream car. I have all paperwork to document mileage and original sales slip, window sticker, build sheet. It needs very little. Everything works inside and outside. 200 - six cylinder / Automatic on column / radio delete model / drum bakes and no power steering but drives nice. I bought it from original owner and since I have... replaced a wheel cylinder new plugs, points, wires, filters (oil/air/fuel), oil change, front shocks found parts to fix car and average cleaning What I would still do... replace front headlight trim due to crack (have part in trunk) replace strike plate on driver door due to loose strike (also have in trunk) A really good detail or wet sand and buff. A rip in drivers seat bottom (rest of interior looks brand new) The original owner kept this in his two car garage and so do I. The floor boards and frame rails are the cleanest I have ever seen. If this was a convertible or mustang I would be restoring it which would be a quick process. Email me with any questions or more pictures. I only add these things because if I was a buyer I would want to know all faults, even if small. The car runs and drives great "as is" just needs these things fixed if you wanted to make it perfect.
