This car began it's life as a stock 96 and I have done my best to convert it to a Monte Carlo, lacking only the badges, arrangement of the dash and Monte Carlo seats. I started with a stock 96 with absolutely no rust on the underneath. I added a rebuilt Monte Carlo transmission (rebuilt by Bud Clark ), a Monte Carlo engine with oil injection (rebuilt by Dave Baugher). Also added were Monte Carlo Carbs, Monte Carlo intake manifold, and a GT exhaust system. In the interior I added a Monte Carlo speedometer and tachometer. The transmission has 350 miles on it and the engine 50 miles.I believe I am the 3d owner. The interior is quite nice, the seats are great but the dash looks tired and should be repainted. All the gages work great and the speedometer is accurate to 3 miles or so.Also added were front disc brakes. The car is a blast to drive. The outside of the car needs to be repainted. Nothing serious but it does have a few very superficial dings ( should not require bondo) and scattered spots of rust that are very superficial and that I tried my best to show in the photos. It also has a alternator and halogen head lights. The chrome looks good. All the rims are Saab rims that are nicer than usual except the left front which is standard. I am going to throw in another of the nonstandard rims but it needs to be sand blasted and painted. The only reason I am selling the car is I have developed cancer and don't need it
