This truck has been very solid, easy to maintain and inexpensive to fix minor defaults over a number of years for me. Only within these last two or so years have i had to put more heavy maintenance into this truck, but these were items that are common to maintain over the course of life for this type of Chevy. So my hard work and maintenance is your gain for many more years of solid reliability. Also, has recently passed city inspection. These are some items that i have replaced and maintained: 1.Tires (1year) 2.Shocks(1year) 3.Ball Joints Upper/Lower(6 months) 4.Tie rods Inner/Outer(6 months) 5.Idler/Pitman arm (6 months) 6.Sway bar links (6 months) 7.A/C compressor (1year) 8.Radiator (2Years) 9.Exhaust system (1year) 10.Fuel pump (2years) 11.Replaced oil cooler seals/gaskets( 8months) 12.Replaced CV axles 13.New hydraulic rear window hatch lifts (8months) 14.Aftermarket alarm system with remote start 15.Aftermarket stereo/CD player with USB/auxiliary jacks with amplifier and upgraded speakers 16.Fender flares (New/Uninstalled) Some defaults that the truck has is 1.Accuator(Behind glovebox)inoperable, makes a 20 second ticking noise then stops, but does not affect the heating/cooling operations. This is a $30 part at your local parts store, just have to put a little time and effort in to install it. 2.Some body rust, mainly in passenger rear wheel well.( see picture) 3.Drivers door handle doesn't receive the key, it was an attempted theft years ago, just never replaced, because of remote door locks and alarm system.
