Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a 1956 Ford F100 short box pickup. This truck has a 302 Ford V8, a C-4 transmission, and a 9-inch Ford rear end. The previous owner told us that the motor ran good, but there was something wrong with the transmission. Our knowledge is fairly limited on the truck, so we can’t tell you much more about the running gear. The tires are just rollers, it has 15-inch stock style wheels, hubcaps and beauty rings. The glass is all good, but the windshield has a star and wiper marks. I was told that this pickup was built to show in the earlier years, so they covered most of the body with body plastic to make it straight. The body seems to be in nice shape with no rust bubbles or pin holes, and just a few small dents. The doors all align nicely with good gaps. It looks like they bought a new tailgate at that time too. All the windows and vent glass work. The chrome front grill and bumper are in very nice shape. The seat looks like something out of an old Cadillac, but it fits pretty good in there. The dash has some extra holes and gauges, there is also the original heater. The wiring needs to be replaced, and I didn't try to make the brakes work. As you can see in the pictures, it has a lot of cracked paint and bondo spots. The body overall still appears to be in good shape. This would be a good candidate to restore! Looking underneath, we didn't see any bad rust spots, and the cab mounts are good. As you can see in the pictures, the floorboard on the drivers side floor need some attention. This truck needs to be stripped for restoration, or it has excellent patina as it is. All the spare parts that you see in the pictures are also included with this truck. As most people know, these little '56 Ford pickups are really popular and always hold their value. Thanks for looking at our auction. If you have any questions call Jack at 208-888-1240.
