Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1963 Chevy Corvair Monza Convertible Nice little classic Chevy. I consider it to be in "driver" condition. The car has very little rust other than what is pictured in the trunk floor and part of the battery tray. Solid overall. Runs, drives, stops.. Motor revs-up nice with no expensive noises. Powerglide shifts just like it should. I drive it to work a couple of times a week without issues. I drove it around town and on country roads for a couple of hours last week. I have a clear KY title in my name. Work I've done: · Brand new gas tank and nice reusable fuel filter. I've cleaned the whole system· Rebuilt both carbs. - Idle is rough on the left bank. It could stand some tuning.· New push tube O-rings, oil pan gasket, oil cooler seals.· Fresh valve adjustment· New rear brake lines (hard lines). I have the kit to do the fronts, but they seem ok to me. Up to you if you want to replace them. · New plugs, wires, cap, rotor.· New carpet.· New fuel pump and I have another working pump to go with it. · Rebuilt the starter. What it needs: · Rear window. The top is good, but the previous owner let window rot out.· Ground wire on the sending unit· Rust repair on the very bottom of the trunk pan (could be driven for years as is)· A really good clean and polish. · Front seat covers to match the original rear. Aftermarket covers that are on it are fine.· Lots of little things like some door panel clips, weatherstrip, etc Cosmetically, it's ok. The pics make it look a bit nicer than it is. It has an older repaint in the original color with plenty of flaws, nicks, and scratches. I actually prefer them that way, so I didn't do any body or paint work. It has period correct slotted mag wheels. The car needs a good deep cleaning all around. I have a pile of extra stainless trim and misc. stuff to go with it. If you know a young person who is looking to get into classic cars or a solid, or if you're looking for running and driving basis for a full restoration, this is a great fit. If you're looking for a perfectly restored example this isn't. I'm happy to answer any questions. Contact through eBay or Jakebob1963@gmail.com Clear KY title in my name. It's for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Now for the things I have to say because of eBay drama types: This is a 51 year old car being posted at a fair reserve. It is a used vehicle and is being sold as is, where is. I'm happy to take as many pictures as you'd like, just ask. I strongly urge any serious bidders to come and look at in person and take it for a ride. I'm happy to allow your mechanic or other local person come over and inspect it for you if you're out of town. I won't be taking it to them, sorry. I won't ship, but I'll work with your shipper to get it to you after the full purchase amount is paid and clears my bank. I won't release the car or the title until paid in full. Happy bidding!
