Vehicle Detail
First and foremost, this Bus runs, but doesn't move. The engine is solid, and I was told by the previous owner that it had been rebuilt with less than 2000 miles on it--I haven't put more than 10 miles on it in the last 2 years. The transmission is no good and will have to be replaced--it doesn't move and will have to be trailered away. The body is decent. As you can see in the pictures there's some surface rust, but it isn't horrible. The driver's side door hinge is dented, but it comes with two replacement doors (see pictures). There's also a dent in the driver's rear wheel well. There are other dings/dents on the vehicle, but these two are the most obvious. The interior is pretty decent also, but needs some work if you're a perfectionist. If you're just looking for a daily driver, it's definitely tolerable. I engine is strong with dual carbs (If I remember correctly it's a 2.0L). The engine sounds really good and starts easily. I just bought a new battery for the Bus. This was a factory built handicap vehicle and has a working automatic sliding door, about a 3.5" lowered floor (more room to stand up inside the Bus) and a removable wheelchair ramp and hand controls for the gas and break pedal--these don't affect driving and are easily removable. This Bus is pretty unique and in decent shape as a daily driver or a great starting point for a rebuild project. As mentioned before--it runs, but doesn't move because the transmission is bad--it will need to be trailered away. I have a clear, current Illinois title for this Bus.
