Vehicle Detail
As soon as the 4-door JK came out, I went and had one made, to my specifications; it seemed like it took FOREVER to be completed by Jeep (over 3 months I patiently waited from the dealer). It took me 7 years to get it to where it is now, a gradual build...a lil bit here, a lil bit there. Rust to Rods, in Orange City, FL, is the shop that did most of the current work, which began in March 2014, and was completed August 2014. As I got up a bit in miles, I decided to do lots of preventative motor work and extras to make the jeep like new! The shop owner replaced all six cylinders, replaced all of the lifters, valves, spark plugs, spark plug wiring harness, timing belt, etc. The jeep just had new brakes installed, new front rodors and all new pads, as well as new front bulbs.. It now sits on brand new Toyo Open County M/T's, size LT385/70R16 (basically 38" SAE equivalent size), installed a week before Jeep Beach 2014. It was at the same time which we painted it Satin Black, and installed all of the XRC Body Armor, by Smitty Built (front/rear fenders and middle portion as well/sidestep rockcrawler guards). I originally wanted it flat black, but the shop owner said that Satin black holds up better in the Florida sun. In late 2013, we installed Synergy HD 4140 ball joints, replaced axle tube seals, installed all new front and rear/upper and lower Rubicon Express full flex control arms with heim joints, a new Rubicon Express drive shaft, new Rubicon Express track bars (front and rear). The lift is a Tera Flex 4" lift (uses 6" springs, so don't really know why they call it a 4" lift), of which all of the control arms were in need of replacing, so I did. It has factory installed 4:10 gears, tow package, 6 speed manual trans, Superchips Flashpaq Programmer (I have it on performance option and only use 93 octane), front and rear Rugged Ridge XHD steel bumpers, Smitty Built XRC8000 winch w/100' synthetic gray rope, custom exhaust system for added ground clearance, ARB Cold Air Intake system, Blistein 5100 shocks, JKS disconnects, and last but not least, thick heavy duty floor mats that can hold a gallon of water (or mud) each. The interior looks as if it was the day it was drove off the lot. There are no rips, tears, or cigarette burns (it is a non-smoking vehicle), nor any other damage to the interior. I think that about covers it! Thanks for reading!
