Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1971 Corvette. I was given this car by my wife as a project car for my 30th Birthday, but 4 kids later, I really don't use it anymore, and it just sits there. I did a lot of work on the car mechanically. Items that have been replaced:All U-Joints under the carRear Leaf spring & HardwareRear Shocks and HardwareRear springs & HardwareRear Tie-Bars & HardwareRear Brake RotorsRear Brake CalipersRear Brake PadsFront SpringsFront ShocksFront Brake CalipersFront Brake RotorsFront Brake PadsAll Flexible Brake Lines replaced - Front and RearFront Wheel Bearings repacked & replacedAir FilterFuel FilterNew BatterySo basically it has a brand new suspension system and a brand new brake system. The brakes were bled, but We decided we needed to do them one more time, so I don't recommend driving this home. Also, It Ran great when I bought it, but it's been sitting for a couple of years now, so it runs rough. It does run though, and turns over pretty well. I haven't tried to start it up yet this summer, but if I get a serious buyer I'll get out there and get it up and running again. again, you're not going to drive it home though. The Vacuum System seems to work well. The headlights come up without a problem, and one goes down when turned off. The other one needs a slight tap on the vacuum can behind it's headlight and then it comes down. pretty decent for a 71 vacuum system. The Wiper door doesn't come up and down due to some screws that need to be replaced I believe, but it did go up and down when I bought the car. I have replacement screws as well as a box of other parts I bought for the car. After last years freeze it looks like what was a small chip has shown that some rear drivers side body work was done. I was told of no accidents, however U do know that someone tried to Bondo this chip instead of using fiberglass properly, which is why it's chipped up now.It was detailed last year and has been sitting over the winter with a car cover on it, so it is in good shape!I have a bunch of spare parts that I never used but bought for it that would go with the car. Some nuts and bolts, new lug nuts, headlight frames, various other parts. I also have the assembly plant's manual on how to built the car, as well as another book that goes over every nut and bolt of the car. They're very details and they're about 2" thick each.I think thats about it. Please email me if you are a serious buyer. Cash, Money order or certified check is all I will take for the car. I will have a bill of sale and such for you of course. I have two sets of keys as well. Please, NO PAYPAL, unless you want to pay the extra fees as well.If you have any questions please email me. I"m trying to be fair in the price as it's a 42 year old Classic Stingray in pretty good shape so please no low balls. I would rather it sit for 10 more years then give it away.Evening are better to show the car.Again, Cash, certified check and money order is the only form of payment accepted and the car is As Is. A little bit of Tune-up by someone who's more of an engine guy than me, and a few things here and there and the car is solid. Thank you. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I will help out by being available. 25% due in money order or cashiers check within 48 hours of auction, non-refundable. If you're a serious buyer then this shouldn't be a big deal.
