1986 INTERMECCANICA Porsche 356A Convertible D replica. This is NOT your typical "piece of s--t" kit car! This is a factory-built Porsche replica on a shortened VW I.R.S chassis. It is clear titled as a 1986 model. I'm selling this beautiful convertible for a friend of mine who is too busy to list it. (I will be happy to furnish his phone number to any serious buyer, he is a true car person, knows the car inside and out and is the second owner). The actual mileage is just over 100,000 kilometers, approximately 70,000 miles. The car has never been in an accident and is super solid underneath and has wonderful body integrity, you can close the doors with one finger! Specifications include front disc brakes, "freeway flyer" transmission with short-throw shifter and, replaced in the last two years, a fresh 1600 dual port long block with twin Webber carbs. It also has new brakes and clutch and the tires are near new. The car is a joy to drive! (Tight steering, nice high brake pedal and lots of smooth power from the upgraded engine...you'll love the way it runs!). Everything works except the oil temperature gauge (the new engine needs a proper sender). Also recently fitted is a new stay-fast canvas top, beautifully done. These pictures are a good representation of the car, it still looks wonderful. On close inspection you will notice some cracking in the clear-coat - the worst section is pictured here.
