Vehicle Detail

1963 Mercedes Benz 190SL, blue with red interior, manual transmission, with soft top and hard top. The car has been sitting for many years and is a great candidate for restoration. This car has been in a barn and was last driven in the early 80’s and has since been parked in a barn The car was pulled out of the Barn 3 years ago and is now available for sale. This car needs a total restoration. Interior: As you can see is any better than average condition considering that it has been sitting for almost 30 years. The diver side bottom cushion is shot and needs to fixed. Floors: The driver side rear floor needs to be replaced in addition to the trailer arms and joints that hold that area together. The passenger side front floor has 2 pin holes on the floor as shown in pictures. If I were to restore this car I will have all floors replaced. As a result I will state that the floors and under structure of the car needs total restoration. the 2 rear parcel shelves have speaker holes and are in the trunk and will come with the car. Shell: It appears some work was done to the car in the past. The car has been re-painted from black to the blue shown in pictures. Primer has been used in the past and it must have saved this car from being a rust bucket. There are two distinct dents 1) Passenger door and 2) trunk Lid. I do not see body filler on the car that I can tell. Soft top is all there with a dime size hole on the right side as shown in pictures. The hard top is missing the rear glass as shown in pictures. Engine: It is all there with the exception of Pulley and fan that are shown in the picures. I do not know of any missing parts. What you see in the engine bay is what is being sold and will all come with the car. I do not think the engine turns and I do not plan on turning it. Radiator fan is in the trunk. Miscellaneous: This car has a clear title and is being sold by the owner/seller on ebay. There are no other parts that go with the car. All available parts that go with the car are shown in pictures. There are no leans posted against this vehicle. It was last registered, in New Hampshire and now has a clear/clean Massachusetts title. Vin is posted on the firewall and right side of front frame. Car is being sold locally. This car is sold AS IS. PAYMENT Once auction ends, the winning bidder is required to contact the seller within 24 hours to make payment arrangements. Payment can only be made to the seller by Cashier’s Check; Cash (in person); Money Order. Or some other form of certified transfer in US dollars. Full payment of the final price is due within seven (7) days of this auction closing. Once full payment is received and cleared by the bank, the seller will provide clear title, Bill of Sale. Full payment must be made and cleared at a Bank prior shipping or car is made available to the winning bidder. PICK-UP/SHIPPING The winning bidder is responsible for making pick-up/shipping arrangements including cost associated with shipping or pick up.On Oct-18-14 at 06:28:44 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several inquiries for additional pictures of specific areas of the car. I will do my best to send pix per email requests. Unfortunately, I am not able to take pictures of the under frame per requests. As mentioned in the description the rear driver side under structure is shot, the trailing arm area is detached from the frame structure in that area. Secondly, THIS CAR NEEDS TOTAL RESTORATION for it to be functional. It has not been driven in over 30 years and is not a minor restoration car as shown in the pictures. Please do not bid if you think this car is a minor restoration car. It will need complete restoration Thanks. On Oct-19-14 at 11:25:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Responses to additional inquiries. 1) Car is located in Western MA, and the nearest Port will be Boston Harbour Massachusetts, 100 miles from location of car. 2) VIN is 023958 3) There is no BUY I NOW.
