Don't you just love eBay bidders that make you an offer that you accept and then they go hide in a hole!!?? He even had the nerve of accusing me of stating the wrong model year for this car. He said that it was manufactured in 1958 and therefore it was not a 1959 model. I guess logic would have it that cars manufactured in 2013 could not be sold as a 2014 model. I don't know what planet he lives on but it is not Earth. So, I am stating here, to be very clear, that this car was manufactured in England in October, 1958. By the time it was prepared for shipment, put on a ship, made it to the USA, was warehoused and finally distributed to dealers and sold, the date was 1959. The clear title specifically states 1959. I bought this cute Metro at an auto swap meet in California two years ago. A boyfriend was going to get it running for me in no time. Well, two years have passed and that did not happen. I just can't find a reasonable mechanic who has the time to help me get it running and therefore I need to sell it. While I was waiting for the mechanical work to be done, I did have it freshly painted, new upholstery and carpeting installed, powder coated the wheels and bought 5 new tires. I also purchased the following parts from the Metropolitan Pit Stop and they are included ($1,400.00 worth with receipts): Fuel pump (type 2), fuel filter, brake shoe sets (front and rear), wheel cylinders (front left and right), wheel cylinder (rear), brake master cylinder, motor mount, clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, distributor cap, distributor rotor, distributor points, distributor condenser, ignition cable set, oil filter, radiator upper hose, radiator t-hose, radiator lower hose, heater hose set, spark plug set, fan belt, technical service manual, fuel flex hose, fuel pump banjo bolt, fiber washer: fuel pump banjo bolt, window cranks, door handles, handle securing pin, handle escutcheon disc, door panel clip, floor pan drain hole plug (large), floor pan drain hole plug (small) and door finish plate set. Also, the painter told me that he did not see any rust when he was prepping the car for new paint. Let me know if you need any additional photos or information. Thanks!
