Vehicle Detail
This is a 1973.5 911T with a stock 2.4 litre engine, and CIS fuel injection, mileage is 77012. This car has everything the classic Porsche 911 aficionado would want; if you are looking at this car then you probably already know the details that make this car a Porsche lover’s dream. There were 1, 944 Porsche 911T coupes made in 1973 and this car is one of them. The 2.4 Liter CIS fuel injection system was introduced halfway through the 1973 model year, which makes this model one of the nicest pure driving experiences anywhere. After much consideration and soul searching, I have decided it is time to part with this car. I have owned this car since 1976. This car was first purchased somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, most likely the Seattle area. The 2nd owner purchased the car with 6000 miles on it and brought it to Missoula, MT. It had 32000 miles on it when I purchased it in 1976 from a dealer in Anaconda, MT. The car has been in the high, dry, and handsome state of Montana and garaged for most of its existence so rust (surface) is minimal if any. This is a very nice 911 coupe, but it isn’t perfect. It looks great from 20 feet but it does have minor flaws on closer inspection. I have owned and loved this car for 38 years and put more than 45000 very pleasurable miles on it so I know what is and isn’t wrong with it and I will do my best to convey that to everyone in this narrative and to answer any and all questions.I have the Porsche COA. Engine Number/Type – 6134320. Transmission Number/Type – 337750. Numbers match. Odometer mileage reads 77012 and that is correct. Car has original seats, owner’s manual, cocoa mats, original tool kit and jack, 4 original Fuchs wheels and 1 spare, car’s tub is rust free and floor pans are in great condition. Car has a vintage aftermarket Craig radio/8 track player that was in it when I bought the car. It works, but the speakers aren’t great. Have all original keys and maintenance receipts for the time I have owned it. Comes with a few extra parts that I have picked up over the years, including a complete valve cover gasket set, original bra that came with the car, 2 bumperettes, extra trunk carpet set, and extra engine belt.Important recent upgrades include:· New air box with relief valve-specific to CIS models· Chain tensioner update with oil line· Headlight/signal switch· New batteriesIt has an aftermarket front fiberglass spoiler that is painted black. At the time I wasn't sure I could get the matching gold metallic so I just went with the black paint thinking I could repaint it with the entire car if I ever chose to do so. This car can be driven as is for many years or it can be taken to the next level. The car is solid and drives true. Still has the distinctive ping when doors shut. Starts easy, runs strong. This car has been well taken care of. Routine maintenance has been performed when needed as needed. All of that aside, it is still a 41 year old car and there are a few minor issues that need to be mentioned. The first issue is that is was involved in a minor accident in the late 1980s, the driver, which wasn't me, hit a deer. Repairs were done in the early 90s and body replacement parts (hood and right front fender) were authentic Porsche parts. Frame was computer checked for straightness and verified to be so. The entire car was repainted in the original gold metallic color. The one flaw in my judgment with these repairs was in letting a friend with a body shop do the paint job. It is good but it isn't great and this car deserves a great paint job. Since those repairs I have put over 10000 miles on it, and added additional upgrades. Other minor issues are: Crack on dash, shown in photos Clock doesn't work Wear spot on driver’s seat Paint does have a few chips and scratches and one bubble on the front edge of the hood, shown in photo 1 inch spot of surface rust on drivers side behind wheel well and just above the rocker panel, shown in photos Tires show some weather checking Windshield washer fluid reservoir tank needs to be repaired, it doesn’t pump Small tear in upper upholstered area of rear seat, shown in photo Headliner shows some discoloration around window frames.
