1981 Porsche 911 SC For sale is one very unique and fast Porsche 911. Car features a Corvette LS1 engine conversion done by Toy-Jet of Texas.Transaxle is a 915 and has been rebuilt. Originally aTarga now converted to a Cabriolet with a manual top. Steel Flares were added, tig welded and leaded to give it that wide body "turbo" look. Original 930 flared rocker panels and rear quarter panel extensions were installed . Original paint stripped to bare metal, color changed to Gaurds red using Dupont Chroma Base and clearcoated. Interior upgraded with complete black leather components from a salvaged 1988 911 and is in top shape. Original leather steering wheel has been recovered. Sun visors have been replaced with new. Weather stripping has been replaced as follows: hood weatherstrip, windshield weatherstrip, bumper "smile", all bumper ends, head lamp door weatherstrips, door opening weatherstrips, door handle and mirror base weatherstrips, rear bumper and engine hatch weatherstrips. Includes the car cover as shown. the car shows well and generates alot of interest at shows. Wheels and tires are in excellent shape, cars runs and drives like a go cart on "steroids' and restoration is 99 percent complete. There are a few items to note: the air conditioning has been removed, the heater is inoperative, the speedometer does work, however the odometer does not, and there is a stone chip in the widshield on the passengers side. Project has been a two year endevor, but retirement has changed my plans for the future.
