Vehicle Detail
Hi, I'm selling this car for my Dad. It used to be mine and it was my daily driver every day for about 5 years. I used to drive 100 miles a day and would fill up once a week! I gave this car to my dad and he's been using the car for the last 5 or so years going back and forth to work (about 30 miles round trip). He has now retired and doesn't need this car any more. Car does start and run. Engine was replaced about 100k miles ago (used diesel engine with about 50k miles on it) along with clutch. Tires are new, A/C works, Radio works and car runs. No problems with engine or transmission. The car hasn't been driven lately since my dad retired and we started noticing an oil leak under the car. Could be that the seals have dried up from not being used, but we're not sure and we're selling car as is. We have started the car no problem despite small oil leak and drove it for a while and everything seems to work just fine. Exterior looks ok as car was re-painted some years back. The interior has lots of wear and tear as it is the original interior of the car. Power window, A/C, Heat and instrument gauges work fine. Power door locks do not work. We are selling this car at "NO RESERVE" and "AS IS", so please ask any questions before bidding and I will get you the answers. Thank you.On Oct-08-14 at 13:26:31 PDT, seller added the following information: We also just noticed that on cold engine, engine will not shut off unless you push the stop lever under the hood. Maybe a vacuum, but not sure. Seems to shut off fine when engine is up to operational temperature. Thank you.On Oct-09-14 at 14:51:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi again and sorry for all the updates, but since the car is not mine anymore I wanted to make sure I share everything I know about this car. Thanks to an interested gentleman, he asked a number of questions that I'd like to share with everyone so you know what you're bidding on... Questions Asked:Odometer working? Trip odometer is not, main is.Any Rust?Minor rust on rear quarter panel. I've added a photo for you to see.Suspension ConditionMy dad feels its fine, I also took it for a spin and it feels solid. How bad are interior tears?I've added some more photos for you to see.Where is oil leak?looks like its coming from drain nut. The general area is towards the front of the car, but we looked and aren't really too sure.Does power antenna go up and down?No it doesn'tAny water leaks around sunroof or trunk?None that we can see. Also, I just noticed and have taken a picture of the front windshield and it does have a small line crack. I asked my dad about it and he didn't even remember it was there. He told me it's been there for a while. Again, I apologize for any confusion, and I just wanted to be complete to the best of my (and my dad's) knowledge of the condition of the car. Please keep asking questions and I will respond as best as possible! Thanks again.
