Up for bids,an incredible Delaware DMV documented 13,028 original mile 1962 Plymouth Belvedere 2door post coupe survivor, the car is untouched ! with it's original factory 52 year old paint and 100% original interior. The car was originally owned by two elderly sisters who shared the car and lived on a farm in Lewes De. The car has always been in this area and is now offered for sale.The sisters were up in age when they purchased the car brand new. The car has sat in storage basically it's whole life. The car was purchased new at "Rice Motors" in Rehoboth De. ( no longer there ) As far as the car overall it has only surface "paint rust" as you can see in the pictures, No rust holes period. trunk etc is beautiful and everything is just 1962 original solid and correct. You absolutely will not find a more solid 62 Belvedere with 13,028 documented miles! This is a radio delete car with no power steering or brakes ! The car was last started and driven down the road by me in 2007, the problem is the fuel tank is toast inside, the fuel filter will clog up with rust etc. But it does run shift and stop just not in 7 years. ( no battery i removed it for obvious reasons ) The car is stored with moth balls and to the best of my knowledge has no mice damage anywhere. Car is being sold as is . The buyer DOES get a ****brand new fuel tank**** in the box with a brand new sending unit in the box that you can install, tune it up change the fluids, belts, hoses and drive as is or build it your way. We purchased this car in May 2005 with the intentions of building it into a Max wedge super stock clone. Our intentions were to basically do a power train swap with a four speed in the floor and leave the rest of the car alone ! The little bit of patina this cars paint has acquired is awesome! I did not want to wax it or anything, i love it the way it is .If the purchasing party is interested i have just about everything for the super stock clone build. The only non original thing i can think of is when the new tires were installed the rims were repainted the same body color. ********the list of available parts is at extra cost and NOT included in this sale.********* 413 short block needing rebuild. 1965 727 torque flight pushbutton trans ( uses a standard slap yolk , one year trans ) since the purchase of that Torque Flight trans we wanted to go with a four speed, so we have a brand new "4speed hump" for this year car. ( purchased brand new at Carlisle last year ) powder coated correct 1962-65 big block V8 K frame. brand new Schumacher urethane engine mounts. powder coated 8-3/4 rear end housing. super stock hood. other misc items i can't think of right now.
