Worldwide, this glider was originally engineered to be power by a Mercedes 2.0TD, a 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine mated with an automatic transmission. These were brought here to America for a electric motor powertrain, but the alternative propulsion conversion company later chose a much larger vehicle platform instead. Therefore this strategic move has released the remaining Ssangyong gliders for liquidation. PERSONAL REVIEW/WALK THROUGH: Pulling this particular glider at random from the group, we removed the weathered plastic covers and adhesives associated from the transport of any brand new car. Once the years of elements were washed off, we noticed faint stains, hard water marks, and residual adhesives that may not easily be captured in photo, but could possibly be professionally corrected.As I did my walk around looking at every square inch, the glider remains photogenic for the most part, as well as the other gliders. The superficial part seems to be localized to the exterior with the hard water marks, small bumps and scratches from handling. A bargain nonetheless. The interior remains untouched for the most part with manufacturer's plastic protective wrap still adhering to the insides. Also remaining is the common new car smell. Piece by piece, solid construction was telegraphed through out the cabin. The steering wheel felt accurate, suspension was tight, and the panels all snapped together with a precise flow. The console controls are ergonomic, and all worked and moved fluidly as previously intended. The truck feels equally on par as any competitor, but wins by a nose with that unique style, and clean minimalistic appeal. The following electrical components were tested in our showroom demo unit with the simple connection of a battery (Not included): power window, power locks, headlights, signal lights, fog lights, hazard lights, power mirrors, high beam, display lighting, interior lighting, instrument cluster illuminated, listen to a radio and CD, and power seats. Despite the few correctable issues, this may well be the bargain of a lifetime.
