Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is one of our customers' 1960 MGA 1600 Roadster. Upon our extensive inspection and research of this vehicle, we believe the car was actually built in 1959, but was originally titled in 1960. This car is white with black interior and white piping; comes equipped with a black top and tonneau cover, however the side curtains are missing. It has wire wheels with Firestone radials: F-560, 165 R15. This model comes equipped with front disc brakes. This car received substantial work in 2001. Engine was rebuilt in 2002. We are fairly confident that this car has the original engine based on engine number vs. vin number and their average differential. We also have receipts for tune-up and service work performed in 2012, including a new master cylinder. The paint, although smooth and shiny, has some cracking along the seams of the fenders and other areas (refer to pictures). All indications are that this car was originally Old English White. The chrome is very nice with what appears to be new bumpers, along with some other new-ish trim parts. Interior is also very nice with reupholstered seats and new carpet. Steering wheel also looks quite new. Convertible top is not very good and although the tonneau cover is old, it works well and looks great. Mechanically speaking, the car starts right up, runs smooth and quiet; oil pressure is between 65 and 70 lbs. when cold. Coolant temperature stays at 180 degrees Farenheit. There is a manually operated aux. cooling fan. Transmission works well, shifting smoothly up and down through the gears. This car drives very well and has no substantial issues. All gauges, turn signals, horn and heater work well. The wipers work but do not park properly. The chassis is in very good condition, the body and under carriage panels are not perfect, but are in average condition for a vehicle of this age. We believe this car to be a nice driver. We also feel that we have fairly priced this car with a reasonable reserve price.
