This is a very clean ONE-OWNER 1999 Honda Civic EX coupe. It is powered by a 16 valve 1.6L SOHC VTEC 4-cylinder engine, backed up with a 4 speed automatic. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts great. What else would you expect from a Honda with less than 78K miles! It is well equipped with power windows, power locks, power mirrors and cruise control. It also has a power sliding moonroof with a sliding shade. It has the factory AM/FM radio with cassette player and a CD player. It also has an add-on XM satellite unit that mounts with a suction cup to the winshield and is hard-wired to the factory radio (you will need to subscribe to XM to get the service). The A/C and heater work great also! The Civic has the factory Honda alarm and keyless entry. This car is ALL ORIGINAL and has NEVER been modified. The tires are Khumo Solus KR 21 that have less than 10000 miles and have a lot of life left. The original tiny space-saving spare tire was ditched for a full-sized one. The front brake pads and rear brake shoes were replaced in 2007 at a Honda dealer and may have 20000 miles on them. The dealer also performed a tune-up at that time. The battery was replaced in 2011. The timing belt and tensioner was replaced in June of this year. I also replaced the water pump, bottom radiator hose, added new anti-freeze and replaced the A/C, power steering and alternator belts in June of this year. Oil and filter changes were done on time. We also have the original owners manual, warranty cards and even the window sticker. Did I mention this is a ONE-OWNER car? My wife used it as her commuter car. Here are the known issues with the car: After the car sits for a few days, the rear brake shoes will make a noise when stopping due to a light surface rust forming on the drums. After you drive a block or two and the rust particles are knocked off, the noise stops. You'll see this same type of surface rust on the brake rotors of new cars sitting on dealer lots that don't get driven much. This doesn't diminish the braking performance at all, but I wanted to mention it. There are a couple of dings in the car (see pics). The car has been repainted the factory color about 8-9 years ago due to tree sap damage. Unfortunately, the paint shop wasn't the cleanest of places and managed to get a few dirt specks stuck in it. I couldn't get them to show up in pics. And, the same tree dripped on the car again, so there are few spots on the hood and roof (see pics). You can also see tiny cracks in the hood paint. Maybe it can be improved with polishing or buffing. The car has been garage kept the last 7 years. Overall this is a great ORIGINAL Honda that i would not be afraid to drive anywhere on a moments notice. And it'll get great gas mileage while doing it!!
