1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL The Ford Galaxie is a full size car that was offered by Ford from 1959 through 1974. The name was used for the top models in Ford's full-size range from 1959 until 1961 with an emphasis on the appeal to the excitement surrounding the Space race. This Glacier Blue 2 door sedan Galaxie 500 XL gives you all the styling of yesteryear with the conveniences of ice cold air conditioning, power brakes and power steering. This car only has one repaint and an amazingly authentic engine compartment housing a 390 V8 powerhouse, bucket seats and center console. Equipped the way a collector car should be. Ford introduced a group of sporty cars along with its now-famous "Lively Ones" campaign. These models featured the bucket seats and console. The full-size line got a new bucket-seats-and-console known as the "Lively One,". This 500XL is like it stepped out from a time machine.
