WOULD MAKE A GREAT HOT ROD!!” VIN HX66632 The Classic Car Gallery is proud to present this lovely 1949 Ford Club Coupe. Finished in Sea Mist Green over Gray cloth, this Shoebox is sure to turn heads and put a smile on anyones face. She has the correct desirable 239 cid Flathead V8 mated to a 3 speed manual on the column. Although we have no record, it is evident that at some point the entire car was disassembled and restored. Many people have written us about the car and here is what have determined about the car. She is a 1949, with doors and some trim from a 1950. The rear seats probably were NOT original to the car, but are correct factory equipment. The paint is good with nice shine and luster. The interior is correct, and in excellent condition with only minor wear. She starts easily and the engine makes good torque and power. All mechanical systems work as they should. We have inspected the car, and the drum brakes work well and the car stops with authority. The car comes with her correct original side skirts. The underside and trunk are in good shape and solid with no issues. The rockers show some mild corrosion, but only on the surface. The engine compartment could use a good detailing, but all of the correct pieces are there. This car would fit nicely into a collection, or would be a good basis for a hot rod or LEAD SLED.
