This is a top quality restoration of a 4-cylinder 1926 stake truck; we believe it to be a one ton; there is no title or any other way to identify it as the owner is deceased and this was an unfinished project in his shop. All of the oak has been replaced as new. The craftsmanship is just excellent - making this a one of a kind vehicle. The motor looks to have been rebuilt, but again, we do not know the exact history of this vehicle. We have not heard it run, but it should. The upholstery is redone and it has new tires. The cowl and hood are redone in black, and the grill shell and headlight buckets are replated. This truck needs very little to be finished: the electric starter is not installed; there is an extra starter included. The headlights are missing all the internals and lenses. The floorboard has been either misplaced or was never there. There is no windshield. This truck can be hauled on an auto trailer; we have been able to move it that way locally. What a wonderful promotional piece this truck could be: parades, grocery store prop, showroom display, etc. You are bidding on this truck as it is, although it is in brand new condition - the restoration is just short of complete. We don't usually charge a handling fee, unless it is a large and/or awkward item in which case we will have a custom box made and add that to the shipping costs to protect us both.
